Winter Storm Creates Unnecessary Chill for Homeowners

OTTAWA, Dec. 17 /CNW/ - Federal Service Experts, a local heating company,
is advising homeowners with high efficiency furnaces to clean the snow away
from the vents outside. High efficiency furnaces take air from the outside for
combustion, if the air intake vent is blocked, the furnace will shut down. If
your home has a high efficiency furnace, you are advised to clear snow away
from the vent and exhaust pipes and to keep an eye for drifting.
"With the recent snow, and now drifting due to the wind, we are seeing
more no heat calls than normal, many which can be avoided if the snow is
cleared from the vents", according to Darren Parsons, General Manager of
Federal Service Experts.
Media inquires can be directed to Darren Parsons at 613-229-2968. Federal
Service Experts has been Keeping the Capital Comfortable since 1948.
