CALGARY, March 17 /CNW/ - Winalta Inc. ("Winalta") announced today that
it has entered into a series of agreements to acquire serviced lots and
developable lands in strategic locations in Saskatchewan. The secured lands
represent potential for approximately 1,100 residential lots for Winalta's
lines of housing products, with a portion of these fully serviced and
immediately available for home placement.
Major petroleum and industrial projects have resulted in a 46% increase
in single family home prices in Saskatchewan and residential construction in
the province has increased by 76% in 2007 over 2006.
In addition, Winalta has secured a yard in Estevan, Saskatchewan to
service wellsites and camps deployed in various areas in Saskatchewan,
particularly in and around the Bakken formation. Approximately 20% of
Winalta's industrial rental fleet is currently operating in Saskatchewan.
