CALGARY, March 10 /CNW/ - Winalta Inc. (Winalta) today announced certain
changes and proposed changes to its Board of Directors.
Paul Shelley has resigned his position on the Board as the Chair and a
member of the Audit and Governance Committees effective February 27, 2008. In
addition, Scott Haggins, a member of the Audit and Compensation Committees
will not be standing for re-election to the Board.

Also announced today, it is proposed that six directors will be nominated
for election by shareholders at the upcoming Annual Meeting of Winalta to be
held on April 22, 2008. The slate of directors will consist of existing
Winalta directors Artie Kos, Blair Goertzen and Mel Benson and, subject to
regulatory approval, three new nominees, Bradley R. Munro, Terry Bradshaw and
Bradley R. Munro, President and CEO of Bittercreek Capital Corporation,
holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Saskatchewan and
has extensive experience in corporate finance and investment in the oil and
gas and other industries. Mr. Munro currently serves as a director for
Bonnett's Energy Services Trust, Fairmount Energy Inc., Galleon Energy Inc.,
49 North Resource Fund and Flagship Energy Inc. Mr. Munro was also the lead
director and chair of the independent committee on the privatization of CCS
Terry Bradshaw, President of Industrial Capital Corporation, has held
senior positions in companies involved in corporate finance, banking,
equipment leasing and real estate development.
Bob Willows, Vice President of Winalta Construction, a division of
Winalta, graduated from Red Deer College with a degree in Business
Administration. Mr. Willows was the founder and President of Xtreme Xcavation
Ltd., a heavy equipment company purchased by Winalta in 2007.
