Will someone get our message in a bottle and send help?

TORONTO, June 9 /CNW/ - The student council at Carleton Village P.S.
wanted to sponsor a rally to protest the closing of their pool this June, but
were told by the board staff that they could not do so.
They were also not allowed to use any school resources like the classroom
where they held their weekly lunchtime meetings. Fortunately, Save Our Pools
Campaign - CUPE 4400, with the assistance of City Councillor Cesar Palacio and
Trustee Maria Rodrigues, have stepped up to the plate and organized this rally
for them.

    Date: Wednesday, June 11, 2008

    Time: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Location: Basketball Court behind Carleton Village P.S.
315 Osler Street (near St. Clair and Keele) M6N 2Z4

The parents and students of Carleton Village, along with many concerned
community members, will be attending. There will be speeches by these
participants as well as local politicians.
