What privacy in a world under surveillance?

    MONTREAL, Sept. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ottawa-based International Civil
Liberties Monitoring Group (ICLMG), in cooperation with several international
human rights and privacy groups, is organizing a one-day civil society
workshop on privacy and surveillance on Tuesday, September 25, 2007, in
    Surveillance of movement through monitoring and profiling of travelers
and implementation of a new generation of entry-exit schemes, along with the
explosion of new technologies that enable the tracking and monitoring of
individuals - from RFIDs to search engine logs - are forcing us to rethink
privacy protection mechanisms.
    Speakers include representatives of Privacy International, the American
Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), the Electronic and Privacy Information Center
