Western Warrior provides Pipestone Project exploration update

CALGARY, Nov. 28 /CNW/ - (TSX Venture: WWR), Western Warrior Resources
Inc. ("Western Warrior") is pleased to provide an update from its ongoing
exploration of the Wampum Prospect, one of 23 high priority gold occurrences
located on its Pipestone Project, 35 kilometres northeast of Nestor Falls in
northwest Ontario. Recent exploration activity by Western Warrior has been
concentrated on the Wampum Prospect.
Additional assay results from recently completed channel sampling
conducted on the Shaft Zone are very encouraging and include:

    - Channel sample assay results as high as 25.60 g Au/t over 1.30 metres
within a much wider zone of 7.6 metres that grades 4.72 g Au/t.
    - Channel sampling located numerous, highly anomalous gold values over
a stripped area of approximately 10,000 square metres at the Shaft
Zone, one of three areas stripped for testing.
    - A diamond drill rig and crew has been secured and drilling is
    - Assays are pending from the second and third stripped areas, the
North and Middle Zones at Wampum, where drilling will follow
immediately after the initial drilling at the Shaft Zone.

An extensive stripping, mapping and sampling program was undertaken at
the Wampum Prospect Shaft Zone. Detailed mapping (1:100) revealed a (greater
than)30 metre wide drill target confirmed by historical and new gold assays.
Samples were channel cut with a diamond saw in trenches located on an
established grid over the Shaft Zone. Along Line 300 East, from south to
north, the following units have been detailed:

    - (greater than)2 metre wide zone of sheared andesite with intense
chlorite alteration and (less than)5% thin, calcite filled fractures
with no significant gold values to date.
    - (greater than)8 metre wide zone of sheared andesite tuff with intense
ankerite-chlorite alteration and (greater than)5-30% quartz veins (up
to 0.3 metres) with (less than)1% fine pyrite and rare chalcopyrite-
sphalerite and rare visible gold. Assays of 4.72 g Au/t over
7.6 metres were located in this unit (see Channel L320E).
    - 4-5 metre wide zone of massive to pillowed, basalt with moderate
chlorite alteration and (greater than)2-5% white, massive quartz
veins (up to 2 metres) with 2-3% fine disseminated pyrite. Assays of
1.04 g Au/t over 2.70 metres were located in this unit (see Channel
    - 2.5 metre wide zone of sheared andesite to basalt with moderate
chlorite-ankerite alteration and (greater than)5-10% quartz veins
with (less than)1% fine pyrite. Assays of 1.27 g Au/t over 3.1 metres
were located in this unit (see Channel L293E).

"Work carried out by our field staff has confirmed the presence of a
significant gold mineralized zone with strong gold values on surface at the
Shaft Zone. We are very pleased to be able to drill this target and we hope to
confirm strong gold mineralization at depth. We are confident that the geology
continues into the Middle and North Zones of the Wampum Prospect. These
additional zones will be the company's next drill targets," commented Grant
Hall, President of Western Warrior.

Samples were sealed in plastic sample bags, placed in sealed shipping
containers, and sent via PBX Courier to Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder
Bay, Ontario for gold analysis by pulp metallic fire assay and 36 element
ICP analyses.
