of BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING, today announced the appointment of Wendy Wong as
President and CEO. Ms. Wong replaces Martha O'Connor, who after 15 years of
dedicated service as Executive Director, has decided to retire.
"Wendy has a 21 year track record of success in the not-for-profit sector
and brings particular expertise in the areas of development and government
relations, along with the other essential skills this leadership position
demands," says Kennish. "She is an outstanding communicator, a sensitive
leader, and an experienced community-builder."
Over the last 21 years, Ms. Wong has earned distinction in senior
leadership roles at the Canadian Hemophilia Society, The Arthritis Society,
The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her
achievements in these roles are many and impressive.
BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING provides grants to start and sustain successful
school-based breakfast, lunch and snack programs. Its vision is to ensure
