Players in Tong-To-Tong Battle for Charity
TORONTO, Nov. 21 /CNW/ - On Saturday, November 24 at 2:00 pm,
Weber-Stephen Products Co., the premier manufacturer of outdoor grills and
accessories, will host the Weber Grill-Off competition at Weber's Grilling
Station at the 2007 Grey Cup Festival. Weber-Stephen Products Co. is a title
partner of the Grey Cup Festival and has been named The Official Grill of the
2007 Grey Cup Festival.
Food Network Canada's Chef Robert Rainford and Uber-Chef Arpi Magyar of
Couture Cuisine will coach two CFL players: Jesse Lumsden, Hamilton Tiger-Cats
and Dave Dickenson, B.C. Lions, who will compete in a tong-to-tong barbecue
battle for charity by preparing tailgating recipes on the grill in 60 minutes.
Toronto broadcaster Fred Patterson will MC the event. The winning CFL player
will receive a cheque from Weber for $500 to the charity of his choice.
Runner-up prizes will be presented to all contest participants.
Judging the Weber Grill-Off is an esteemed media panel: Tim Weber, CTV
Toronto, James Munroe of 680 News, and Christopher Mei of The Weather Network.
