OAKVILLE, ON, Sept. 13 /CNW/ - The man known to Canadians as "The Great
One" will hit the streets of Toronto for the inaugural Ford of Canada "Pins to

Wayne Gretzky and Ford of Canada are hosting the charity tournament today
on Mercer Street in downtown Toronto. Approximately 180 minor hockey players
will meet Gretzky and play a minimum of three, 20-minute games.
"This program is a great way to encourage kids' community involvement by
tapping into their passion for hockey," Gretzky said. "The players get to have
a great time, help support their team and raise much-needed funds for breast
cancer research."
To be eligible for a chance to play in the tournament, Ontario Atom
Division minor hockey league teams joined the "Pins to Win" fundraising drive
by ordering pink hockey stick pins. For every batch of 50 pins ordered, teams
received one entry into the draw.
    The 12 winning teams are:

Lincoln Oshawa Generals Waterloo Wolves 2

"No matter which hockey team comes out on top at the tournament, they're
all winners as far as we're concerned, because everyone involved in this day
is helping create a future without breast cancer," said Sharon Wood, CEO,
Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation - Ontario Region. "All participants are
aiming for the same goal, and that's to work together to fund breakaway
research and valuable programs that will benefit people affected by breast
