Wal-Mart celebrates Canadian TV premiere of Disney's 3-D "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best Of Both Worlds Concert" with sale of 3-D Glasses available exclusively at Wal-Mart Canada

    MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 26 /CNW/ - Just in time for the Canadian television
premiere of Walt Disney Pictures' "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both
Worlds Concert" in Disney 3-D, Wal-Mart Canada will offer Hannah
Montana-themed 3-D glasses to fans across Canada. For one month, from June 26
to July 26, Wal-Mart Canada's 301 stores nationwide will sell the glasses for
50 cents each. All proceeds will go to Breakfast Clubs of Canada, supporting
community-based children's nutrition programs that make sure Canadian kids go
to school well fed and ready to learn. Wal-Mart Canada is the largest
corporate sponsor of Breakfast Clubs of Canada and donated more than $2.8
million to the organization last year.
    "In addition to exclusive 3-D glasses, we've stocked our stores to make
them the ultimate destinations for all things Hannah Montana, including Hannah
Montana-inspired apparel, footwear, bedding, room décor, games, music and
more," said Chris Johnston, Vice President and General Merchandise Manager of
Wal-Mart Canada. "At the same time, we're directing the enthusiasm of young
fans towards a great cause - giving proceeds from the 3-D glasses to the 3,000
nutrition programs and 360,000 kids who rely on Breakfast Clubs of Canada."
    The "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert," in
Disney 3-D, premieres on The Family Channel in Canada on July 26, at 8 p.m.,
for one night only. The DVD goes on sale at all of Wal-Mart Canada's stores
nationwide on August 19. Miley Cyrus completed a sold out 70 date concert tour
earlier this year and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures released the Disney
Digital 3-D(TM) feature film of "Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: The Best of
Both Worlds Concert" to record breaking box-office numbers in February.
