W Network announces new original series set for production

    Two new series go into production in Vancouver this summer

    TORONTO, June 8 /CNW/ - Corus Entertainment's W Network, Canada's No.1
specialty channel for women, announced today that it will be producing two new
series this summer. Working with Vancouver's Worldwide Bag Media, Anna &
Kristina's Style Bag (working title) will go into production this July and the
docu-soap The Cupcake Girls, from Vancouver-based Force Four Entertainment,
will start production later this month.

attempting to summit the high stakes world of cupcakes."


    ANNA & KRISTINA'S STYLE BAG (working title)

    They have tested every product imaginable in The Shopping Bags and have
taught viewers the ins and outs of cookbooks in Anna & Kristina's Grocery Bag,
and now Anna Wallner and Kristina Matisic are ready to help viewers achieve
true beauty and great fashion on a budget.

    Episodes will include tips from designers and stylists on how to achieve
a timeless look for less, product tests to uncover whether those magic potions
and innovative procedures actually deliver, tricks on how to get trendy
clothing to fit any figure, and more. As always, Anna and Kristina will add to
the fun by putting themselves under the microscope. Armed with a fascination
for fashion, savvy shopping skills, and the invaluable advice from the best in
the business, consumer connoisseurs Anna and Kristina will get to the root and
results of great style. Produced by Worldwide Bag Media in association with  
W Network, Anna & Kristina's Style Bag (working title) goes into production
this summer and will premiere later this fall on W Network.

best friends, one set of bickering parents, 50 young, unpredictable female
employees and a team of franchisees with differing opinions. Stir in a healthy
dose of high maintenance customers and a handful of miserable contractors, and
you've got a day in the life of The Cupcake Girls.

    A 13-episode docu-soap, The Cupcake Girls follows entrepreneurs and best
friends Heather White and Lori Joyce on a deliciously dysfunctional and often
hilarious journey to build a cupcake empire. Produced by Force Four
Entertainment in association with W Network, the series starts production this
June and will premiere in early 2010.
