    Today on Fogo Island, Newfoundland, residents and visitors experienced a
unique and exciting event. 10 teams successfully completed a 10 mile open
ocean race from Fogo to Change Islands and back again. All teams underwent a
grueling and dramatic experience on the cold Atlantic Ocean.
    The event was the first annual Fogo Island Regatta. It was celebrating
300 years of wooden boat heritage on Fogo Island and Change Islands.
