    STORY SUMMARY: Twelve Champions representing Children's Miracle Network
(CMN) were honoured today with a luncheon and visit to Rideau Hall that paid
tribute to their bravery in battling and overcoming life threatening illnesses
and injuries. As ambassadors of CMN affiliated hospitals, the Champions came
together to show their collective strength of spirit and inspiration to the
millions of children treated each year in Canadian children's hospitals. The
trip to Rideau Hall, where the Champions met Her Excellency the Right
Honourable Michaelle Jean, Governor General of Canada, was followed by a
    The Champions will be leaving March 31st to visit Walt Disney World for a
live concert, to meet with other champs from across North America and of
course to enjoy a few roller coaster rides! The children and their families
visit Ottawa en route to Orlando, Florida, where they will participate in the
annual "Children's Miracle Celebration" taping. Footage will be broadcast
June 2nd and 3rd during the Children's Miracle Network Telethon, the world's
largest annual television fundraiser.
