the Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern (DM&E) Railroad Corporation and its
subsidiaries, Cedar American Rail Holdings, Inc., and the Iowa, Chicago and
Eastern Railroad (IC&E) Corporation on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008. B-Roll and

    STORY SUMMARY: Canadian Pacific announced the acquisition of the DM&E on
Sept. 24, 2007. Following a year-long review, the U.S. Surface Transportation
Board approved CP's application for control of the DM&E on Sept. 30, 2008.
Regulations stipulated a 30-day administrative period whereby registered
participants could file final requests for information, clarification or
conditions. Today, the acquisition process is complete.
