WINDSOR, ON, June 10 /CNW/ - It's official! The Red Bull Air Race Airport
runway has taken flight! Today, Bernd Loidl, CEO, Red Bull Air Race World
Championship and Canadian pilot, Pete McLeod - the youngest and first-ever
Canadian to compete in the Championship - celebrated the official opening of
the Red Bull Air Race Airport with Windsor Mayor, Eddie Francis, and the
remaining fleet of Red Bull Air Race air-devils!

On June 13 and 14, the third stop of the Red Bull Air Race Championship
will land on Windsor, Ontario where 15 of the world's best pilots will race
through the sky, twisting and turning through a low-level aerial track of
air-filled pylons, only feet above the water flying at speeds reaching 370
km/h (230 mph) while withstanding forces of up to 12G.
Safety first! If you are planning on checking out Red Bull Air Race
including the Pit Lane Walk, the Tower or Pylon Tours and any of the training,
qualifying or final events, close toed shoes must be worn.
