VANCOUVER, April 7 /CNW/ - The Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce is pleased
to announce and introduce our new executive director, Julien Phipps.
Julien's background is both unique and distinctive. Over the past ten
years, Julien has established himself as a highly successful business
professional in both the financial industry and the not-for-profit
At the Vancity Group of Companies, Julien fulfilled a number of roles in
retail banking, brokered investments and ultimately as one of their
youngest marketing officers. He went on to work for Central 1's
CuSource, where he worked closely with over forty provincial credit
unions and their Board of Directors ensuring board education and
launching front-line staff programs. In addition, he brings
significant experience with his key role in the Canada One Athletic
Foundation and KitsFest, the sports and healthy living festival which
he co-founded and operates annually. The Chamber is a proud sponsor of
Julien also has a stake and contributed as Director of Marketing and
Business Development in the start-up venture PeerFX - an online
currency exchange business now at its partnership stage. Part of its
winning formula was the formation of co-operative relationships with
the chambers of commerce and associations across Canada.

Fond Farewell to Terry Clark
Julien is taking over this role from our esteemed president, Terry
Clark. We would like to take this opportunity to offer our very
sincere thanks and appreciation to Terry for his many years of
tremendous dedication and service to the Chamber.
