fiscal 2008 second quarter financial results and hosting a conference call to
discuss them.

        Results will be issued at 5:30 pm EDST/3:30 pm MDST on Tuesday,
        August 5, 2008
        Conference call will be at 9:00 am EDST/7:00 am MDST on Wednesday,
        August 6, 2008

    UTS is focused on the creation of shareholder value through exploration,
development, production and upgrading of bitumen from the Athabasca oil sands
