Tyhee updates drill program, bulk sample and ongoing activities at its Yellowknife Gold Project

    TSX Venture: TDC

VANCOUVER, April 17 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC)
today provides updates on its 100% owned Yellowknife Gold Project, including
the completion of the winter road season and the results of additional
drilling. Drill results include 5.1 metres grading 11.51 grams per tonne (gpt)
gold in NDM425, 8.5 metres grading 4.26 gpt gold in NDM426, 2.4 metres grading
8.94 gpt gold in NDM421, and 2.5 metres grading 5.49 gpt gold in NDM424.
This year's winter road season closed on April 9th. Tyhee successfully
completed its re-supply of the Yellowknife Gold Project prior to the closing
of the winter road. Highlights include:

    - Crushing 3,400 tonnes of stockpiled mineralized rock from the
underground sampling program and shipment of 10 tonnes to an
        independent laboratory.

The bulk sample has arrived at the laboratory and will be processed
to confirm the gold grade as well as determine certain engineering
parameters for optimizing gold recoveries and assessing the nature of
        the waste streams.

    - Refueling of 344,000 litres of diesel, propane and gasoline to site.

The Yellowknife Gold Project now has sufficient fuel on site to
complete another 12 months of operations.

    - Transfer of 4,800 boxes of archived drill core from Nicholas Lake to
        our Main Camp for processing.

An initial test of 4 drillholes identified numerous gold values
outside of the quartz veins identified in the current resource
estimate. All diamond drill core from the Nicholas Lake Property has
been moved to Tyhee's main camp for resampling. This will quantify
how much gold had not been sampled by previous operators.

    - Completion of over 4,000 metres of new core drilling at Nicholas Lake
        Main Zone.

This drilling will increase the quantity and improve the quality of
the established resource as well as confirm continuity of

    - Installation of new analytical preparation laboratory at Tyhee's main
camp. The laboratory is owned and operated by Acme Analytical
Laboratories, Vancouver and remains independent of Tyhee.

The sample preparation laboratory will speed-up the analytical
        process and reduces costs.

Two diamond drill rigs have been relocated to the Ormsby Zone from
Nicholas Lake Main Zone.
Dave Webb, Tyhee's President & CEO, reports "We are very pleased to have
met all of our logistical needs on the winter road this year. With the winter
haul completed on time and on schedule, we can continue development of the
Yellowknife Gold Project in a cost-effective manner. We have additional
diamond drillholes to refine the resource at the Ormsby Zone while we continue
to expand the resource on the Nicholas Lake Main Zone with new drillholes and
through the resampling program currently under way." "These drill results are
very good and continue to fill in the resource. Additional drilling in the
north-end of the Ormsby Zone, in the Bruce Lake and West Zones is expected to
add to and better define the resource in these locations."
Drill cores are sawn along their entire length, with one half of the core
submitted for analysis and the other half retained on site for archival
purposes. Samples are submitted to Acme Analytical Laboratory, Vancouver,
Canada for preparation and analysis. Blank samples, duplicate samples (riffled
splits of coarse crush) and repeat analyses are conducted in addition to
analyses of gold standard samples. All samples are analyzed by fire assay
techniques on 30 gram aliquots with ICP-ES finish.
    David R. Webb, B.A.Sc. M.Sc. Ph.D., P.Geol. is the Qualified Person, as
defined by National Instrument 43-101, on the Yellowknife Gold Project and
