VANCOUVER, March 18 /CNW/ - The Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program,
an industry-facing graduate degree in entertainment technology and digital
arts - the first of its kind in Canada- is offering entrance scholarships to
two outstanding students applying for the MDM Program in September 2008. The
two $10,000 scholarships will be based on extraordinary merit in the field of
Visual Art and Animation and Computer Programming/Engineering. The Scholarship
Deadline is the same as the Application Deadline - March 31.
"We are very excited about the announcement of these scholarships," said
Dr. Gerri Sinclair, Executive Director, Masters of Digital Media Program,
Great Northern Way Campus. "We are offering an opportunity for talented and
extraordinary individuals to take their expertise in digital media to a level
that was previously unattainable through an educational facility. This program
will give graduates the skill set and experience necessary to become leaders

The MDM Program is cultivating the future leaders in digital media. Only
in its first year, the Program has already garnered international attention.
"Crossing", the work of one student team, has been shortlisted for a Webby
Award - the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet.
Plus, internships, from around the world, have been extended to this talented
group who hail from across Canada (Vancouver, BC to Rusticoville, PEI) and
around the world: China, Cypress, Egypt, India and the U.S.

This innovative, full time professional graduate degree program offers
students team-based experiences focused on project learning in close
collaboration with the international digital media industry. The MDM is a
20-month program, including a paid, summer internship.
The MDM Program is housed in the Centre for Digital Media, a new
multimedia facility located at Vancouver's Great Northern Way Campus (GNWC).
The GNWC is a unique university campus that combines the strengths of four
