CALGARY, Oct. 17 /CNW/ - Trimac Income Fund (the "Fund") is pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey J. McCaig as President and Chief
Executive Officer of Trimac Transportation Services Inc. ("Trimac") and
Mr. Edward V. Malysa as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer
of Trimac. Both appointments are effective January 1, 2008. As announced on
April 2, 2007, Mr. Terry J. Owen, who is currently President and Chief
Executive Officer, will be leaving Trimac to pursue other interests effective
December 31, 2007.
Mr. McCaig has served in various senior management capacities over his 24
year career with Trimac and will also continue in his role as Chairman.
Mr. Malysa is currently Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of
Trimac, a position he has held for the past three and one half years.
Mr. Malysa has held a variety of senior management roles during his 30 year
career with Trimac.
The Fund is an unincorporated, open-ended limited purpose trust created
for the purpose of acquiring and holding an indirect interest in Trimac
Transportation Services Limited Partnership.
Trimac is the managing general partner of Trimac Transportation Services
Limited Partnership which is Canada's largest provider of bulk trucking
services with operations from coast to coast. In addition, through its wholly
owned subsidiary, Bulk Plus Logistics Limited Partnership, Trimac
Transportation Services provides third party transportation logistics services
in Canada and the United States. Trust units of the Fund are traded on The
Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol TMA.UN.
