Trigon Provides Operations Update

KELOWNA, BC, April 3 /CNW/ - Trigon Uranium Corp. ("Trigon" or the
"Company") (TSX-V:TEL) today provided an update on its operations in the
United States Southwest. As described in detail below, a drill is being
mobilized to Marysvale and drilling is scheduled to commence by early next
week. Further, the company is in the final stages of establishing the drill
targets for the Henry Mountains project. The objective of the Henry Mountains
project is to find extensions to the known major uranium deposits, which are
located immediately to the east of Trigon's claims. Trigon's new Golden, CO
office is now open and operational with both engineering and geological staff.

    Marysvale Project

Diversified Drilling LLC of Missoula, MT, has advised the company that
the drill rig to be used at Marysvale is completing its commitments in Nevada
and will be mobilized to Marysvale shortly. Drilling is expected to commence
April 10 and is expected to occur over a three week period. The Marysvale
drill program is designed to confirm and expand the historic uranium resource
discovered by Phillips Uranium ("Phillips") in the late 1970's. Sixteen
reverse circulation drill holes are planned totaling 10,500 feet. Nine of the
drill holes will test new targets defined by Trigon's ground geophysical
surveys. The main target area is the untested geophysical extension of a
strongly mineralised zone discovered by Phillips during their last week of
drilling in 1981. Surface radiometric anomalies in both the northern and the
southern parts of the property will also be drill tested. To convert the
historic uranium resource to a National Instrument 43-101 compliant resource
several historic Phillips drill holes will be "twinned". All drill holes will
be gamma-logged for equivalent uranium content.

    Henry Mountains Project

In the Henry Mountains the company is planning a 17,000 foot drill
program expected to commence in late May. Important uranium deposits occur in
the Henry Mountains in the Salt Wash sandstones of the Upper Jurassic Morrison
formation. Adjacent to Trigon's property, Denison Mines Corp. ("Denison") is
planning production from the Tony M and Bullfrog deposits in 2007 and 2008,
respectively. The known deposits form elongate more or less continuous trends.
Trigon's main exploration target is the continuation of a southeast to
northwest trend, which includes Denison's Indian Bench and Copper Bench
deposits and the Frank M deposit of Energy Metals Corporation. This trend
alone hosts more than 13 Million pounds U(3)O8. Analysis of property geology
and available drilling data from adjacent properties leads Trigon to believe
there is great potential for significant uranium resources on the Henry
Mountains property. Trigon's drill program will include closely spaced holes
within 800 m of the Indian Bench uranium deposit and is designed to rapidly
confirm the extension of the known uranium trends onto Trigon's Henry
Mountains property.

Colorado Office and Approach to Uranium Deposits of the United States
    South West

In its March 27, 2007 press release Trigon announced the opening of a
field office in Golden, Colorado. The new office is managed by Thomas F.
Buchholz, Senior Mining Engineer. In addition to the exploration and
development of uranium properties, the office will carry out engineering due
diligence in respect of the acquisition of smaller Colorado Plateau mines.
This due diligence will focus in south-east Utah and in Colorado. It is
anticipated that ore from acquired mines may be processed at third party
mills. Currently, in Utah, there is one operating uranium mill (Blanding). A
second uranium mill, at Shootaring Canyon, may recommence operations within
the next 18 months. Various sandstone formations host numerous old uranium
mines in the Colorado Plateau. These formations include the Jurassic Salt Wash
member of the Morrison Formation as well as the Triassic Chinle, Shinarump and
Moenkopi formations. The old mines provided ore for a variety of mills during
the last two Uranium cycles and Trigon plans to actively participate in the
re-opening of such mines. Trigon's due diligence work is continuing in respect
of the six former White Canyon mines referred to in the press release of
March 7, 2007.
