TORONTO, Jan. 15 /CNW/ -- TransUnion today announced the appointment of
Kolin Whitley to vice president of Fraud Solutions. In this role, Whitley
will have the primary responsibility for the development and complete
life-cycle of TransUnion's fraud solution services throughout Canada. He will
report directly to Derrick Breau, vice president of Sales and Marketing.
"With 16 years of experience in the areas of fraud and identity
management, Kolin brings a wealth of knowledge in developing risk management
strategies and conducting assessments," said Breau. "As the breadth of risks
affecting organizations continues to be identified and grow, Kolin's expertise

growing capabilities in this strategic market sector."
Prior to joining TransUnion, Whitley served as the director of risk
policy and strategy for PayPal Inc., an eBay Company. While serving at
PayPal, a global leader in online payments, Whitley led a senior management
team in developing risk policies and strategies, profiled risk management and
fraud detection solutions and oversaw risk assessment projects.
Before working at PayPal, Whitley was a vice president of risk and
payment solutions at CIT Global Inc. In this role, he managed all consultancy
and pre-sale activities for North America, UK and Europe in the areas of risk
management and payment processing.
Additionally, Whitley served as the head of operational risk at Moneris
Solutions where he led a team of over 130 experts tasked with identifying risk
exposure and mitigating such risk through processes, systems and strategies.
Whitley also has held positions at Citibank Canada and Sears Canada Inc., as a
manager of fraud and security operations and a field manager, respectively.
Whitley graduated with a degree in law enforcement from Seneca College
and completed a security management development program from Loyalist College
in Belleville, Ontario.
