Toronto Celebrates Israel's 59th Birthday Tonight, April 24, 6:00-9:00 pm

    TORONTO, April 24 /CNW/ - Toronto will join Jewish community celebrations
around the world for Israel's 59th birthday tonight, Tuesday April 24, from
6:00 to 9p.m., with a big, birthday bash. It's taking place on the grass
behind the Lipa Green Building for Jewish Community Services (north of
Sheppard on the west side, entrance via the Bathurst Jewish Community Centre
roadway at 4588 Bathurst St.)
    Live bands, Toronto Argonaut all-star linebacker Michael O'Shea,
drummers, carnival games and thousands of people are some of the highlights of
this family friendly event.
    Toronto's birthday bash for Israel is sponsored by UJA Federation of
Greater Toronto and several other community agencies. UJA Federation is the
organizational hub of Toronto's Jewish community and one of Canada's largest
non-profit corporations.
