Empowering cooking enthusiasts for 75 years, Thermador promises to heat
up Canada's kitchens with its new line of state-of-the-art appliances
TORONTO, June 26 /CNW/ - Today, Thermador - the high-style,
high-performance kitchen appliance manufacturer - held its official Canadian
launch with the unveiling of its new line of luxurious appliances. Co-hosted
by notable Canadian interior designer, Sharon Mimran, the exclusive event
showcased her most recent project - the remodeling of a beautiful historic
home in Toronto's design district, complete with a top-of-the-line Thermador
kitchen. On-hand to bring the appliances to life was Canadian culinary
sensation, Jamie Kennedy, who created a sumptuous feast of summer fare.
"Thermador has successfully married beautiful design and state-of-the-art
functionality to make it the undisputed leader in its category," said Mathieu
Sabbagh, Director of Marketing, Thermador and BSH Home Appliances. "With the
founding of our new Canadian headquarters, we're looking forward to rolling
out Thermador in a big way across the country. In fact, we are currently
preparing to open an innovative BSH showroom in Montreal this fall."
Interior design maven, Sharon Mimran, has created beautiful kitchen
spaces for her clients across North America for more than 15 years. When it
came to designing the kitchen in her own home, Thermador immediately sprung to
mind. "I really appreciate how sleek and sophisticated Thermador's appliances
are," says Sharon. "The appliances not only meet my clients' demand for
quality and professional features, but Thermador also keeps the designer in
mind - providing custom panel finishing for many of its products."
Celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, Thermador has long been
revered for developing meticulously crafted appliances designed and engineered
for the most discriminating culinary enthusiasts. The company's commitment to
excellence has lead to countless industry breakthroughs, including: the first
built-in oven, retractable downdraft ventilation system, speedcooking
technology and the revolutionary Star(R) Burner, for incredible even heat
Headlining the 2007 Thermador line-up are its new wall ovens: the modern
Masterpiece(TM) Series and the retro-styled Professional(R) Series. Both offer
exquisite design, innovative features along with a wide choice of oven
configurations for the ultimate in design freedom and flexibility.
In addition to the wall ovens, all of Thermador's Professional Series
appliances have received the new retro-styling, including the microwaves,
dishwashers, warming drawers and counter-depth Pro Harmony(TM) Range. Elements
of the design include stainless steel knobs, a redesigned handle that is
angled upwards to match the new Professional Series wall ovens, and a bullnose
that seamlessly blends into the control panel.
Other new Thermador appliances include the HD Dishwasher(TM) Series that
includes the industry's first sensor touch control panel, and has an operation
level as low as 44 decibels. Thermador also now features the revolutionary
Freedom(TM) Collection refrigeration columns - the industry's first fully
integrated and Truly Flush Mounted(TM) modular fresh food and freezer columns
that can be placed anywhere in the kitchen.
Thermador is part of BSH Home Appliances Corporation, a fully-owned
subsidiary of BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgerate GmbH, the third largest
