Toronto City Chase will take place this weekend starting at Metro Hall TORONTO, June 20 /CNW/ - CBC and Mitsubishi Motors deliver excitement and blood-pumping adrenaline with the new nine-episode series Mitsubishi City Chase, being produced in conjunction with Buck Productions from Toronto, premiering Monday, June 30th at 8:30pm ET. Filmed at City Chase Events in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal, the series will take viewers across Canada through this part obstacle course, part scavenger hunt race, highlighting tension and exhilaration as teams search for the next challenge. CBC's commitment to dynamic regional programming is clearly demonstrated in this new series. Each city will be featured in two half-hour episodes, and will conclude with a one-hour finale from the Canadian Championships in a location still to be determined on September 4-6. Filming begins May 10 in Vancouver, before moving to Calgary on June 7, Toronto on June 21 and Montreal on July 12. To date, 2008 events have taken place in Vancouver on May 10th and Edmonton on May 24th and Calgary on June 7th. The winning team at each regional event will move on to compete in the Canadian Championships where teams will face between 48 and 72 hours of intense urban challenges. The winning team of the Championships event will represent Canada at the World Championships to be held in Marrakech, Morocco from November 5-9th.
