TORONTO, April 14 /CNW/ - On Saturday, April 18, 2009, UFC(R) roars back
into Canada for UFC 97(R): Redemption, another record sell-out event for UFC
at Montreal's Bell Centre. With tickets snapped up in less than a week,
Viewers Choice Pay Per View offers fans the best seats in the house with
televised front row access to all the raw, hard-hitting action from inside the
Octagon(TM). Airing live on April 18 at 10 p.m. ET, UFC 97 will retail for
$44.99 and will also be available in High Definition for $54.99.
The night's main match-up will feature UFC middleweight champion and one
of mixed martial arts' most feared strikers Anderson Silva as he steps into
the Octagon against submission specialist and fellow Brazilian, Thales Leites.
Also on the main card, former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck "The
Iceman" Liddell returns to the Octagon to face 27-year-old Mauricio "Shogun"
Rua, as the first step to regaining his title.

To mark this special event, Viewers Choice will also offer a "Countdown
to UFC 97" presentation on its preview channel beginning Friday, April 17 at 6
p.m. ET with live coverage of the fighter weigh-ins in Montreal. The coverage
continues on the preview channel all weekend long with behind-the-scenes
footage, fighter profiles and interviews. Repeat viewings of UFC 97 will also
