The Score takes the pole position with multi-platform rights to the 2007 Champ Car World Series

    TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) announced today
that its wholly-owned subsidiary, The Score Television Network Ltd, has
acquired the Canadian television broadcast rights to ten races of the 2007
Champ Car World Series. Included in the broadcast package are the online and
mobile rights to highlights and features. The Score's broadcasts will start in
April of 2007.
    "We look forward to bringing the best Champ Car coverage to hardcore race
fans," said Anthony Cicione, Vice President, Programming of The Score
Television Network. "With our recent multi-platform successes, in addition to
our television broadcast of the races we will bring race highlights to and Score Mobile Video."
    Canadian's Paul Tracy and Alex Tagliani will be back this season vying to
steal the title from three time champion, Sebastien Bourdais. Also joining the
circuit this year will be newcomer, Graham Rahal - 18 year old son of Bobby
    The Score's coverage of Champ Car World Series includes the following
race schedule:

    April 22 - 3pm (ET) - Reliant Park, Houston, Texas
    May 20 - 11pm (ET) - Road Course, Zhuhai, China
    July 1 - Time TBA - Circuit Mt. Tramblant, St. Jovite, Quebec
    July 8 - Time TBA - Exhibition Place, Toronto, Ontario
    July 22 - Time TBA - City Centre Airport, Edmonton, Alberta
    July 29 - 5pm (ET) - Street Course, San Jose, California
    September 2 - 1:30pm (ET) - Assen Circuit, Assen, Holland
    September 9 - 1pm (ET) - Zolder Circuit, Zolder, Belgium
    October 21 - 5pm (ET) - Street Course, Surfers Paradise, Australia
    November 11 - 2pm (ET) - Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Mexico City,
