The passing of Mr. Jacques Courtin-Clarins, founder of Clarins

    MONTREAL, March 23 /CNW Telbec/ - Mr. Jocelyn Cuirot, President of
Clarins Canada, regrets to inform you of the passing of Mr. Jacques
Courtin-Clarins, who founded the Clarins Company in 1954, Mr. Courtin-Clarins
passed away last night at his home in Neuilly-sur-Seine.
    Mr. Jacques Courtin-Clarins, who was a humanist and knew how to listen to
his fellow human beings, to understand their needs and seek to satisfy them
out of pure generosity, has elevated the beauty industry to its noblest level.
    In fifty years, he has made of his Group a major actor on the scene of
prestige cosmetics, and has turned it into one of the most beautiful success
stories in French business. His motto, "To do more, to do better and enjoy
doing so" will continue to be the motto of his two sons, Christian and Oliver,
of his grand-daughters and of his 6000 collaborators.
