MONTREAL, Oct. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - The Ordre des conseillers en ressources
humaines agréés is proud to announce that it was awarded a Grand Prix
québécois de la qualité 2008 at an official ceremony at the Palais des congrès
de Montréal on October 24, 2008.
Quebec Premier Jean Charest presented the award to the Ordre's president
and CEO, Florent Francoeur, CHRP.
The Grands Prix québécois de la qualité, jointly administered by the
Mouvement québécois de la qualité and the ministère du Développement
économique, de l'Innovation et de l'Exportation, are annual awards intended to
acknowledge businesses and organizations that have demonstrated an exceptional
quality of management and overall performance.
This year's prize, in the not-for-profit category, recognizes the Ordre
for the second time, highlighting the excellence of its management practices
in all aspects of its operations. The Ordre earlier received a Grand Prix
québécois de la qualité in 2005, which makes it the first organization to have
been honoured twice. In 1998, the Ordre was also the first professional
association in the world to receive ISO certification.
"The Grand Prix québécois de la qualité once again rewards our ongoing
quest for excellence and improvement. As the Ordre is Quebec's only
organization devoted to the protection of the public in the field of human
resources management, I believe that our constant concern for quality in all
our activities can only benefit all stakeholders in the various work
environments. That is why we will continue our efforts to improve the world of
work in our society," explained Franceour.
Participation in this prestigious competition enables organizations to
access a world-class analysis tool. Each participant receives a report from
qualified evaluators pointing out its strengths and various areas for
improvement in its overall management. In addition, the Grands Prix québécois
de la qualité constitute a world-class reference, comparable in their rigorous
selection procedure to internationally known awards such as the Deming Prize
(Japan), the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (United States) and the
European Quality Award.
