TORONTO, Aug. 7 /CNW/ - Canadians can now earn rewards towards office and
school supplies just by using a credit card. Today, Citi Cards Canada (Citi)
and STAPLES Business Depot (STAPLES) introduced the Citi STAPLES easyRewards
MasterCard, allowing Canadians to quickly accumulate rewards with every
purchase made with the card at any retailer.
Just in time for back to school, Citi STAPLES easyRewards MasterCard
cardholders can earn up to two per cent in STAPLES easyRewards to use towards
purchases at any STAPLES Business Depot or Bureau en Gros store in Canada -
and the rewards never expire so they can be used at anytime.
"This is a unique credit card rewards program for Canadians and we're
excited to be teaming up with STAPLES to bring the easyRewards program to

What's in a card?
Cardholders will earn STAPLES easyRewards on a tiered-basis, and
easyRewards are calculated automatically based on the customer's year-to-date
spend. The tiers start at 0.5 per cent for spend of $0 to $3,000 and increase
to two per cent with an annual spend of over $15,000 to a maximum of $50,000.
Each time a cardholder reaches a minimum of 20 easyRewards, they can
redeem the rewards for a Payout card by ordering it online at www.citicards.ca
or by contacting Citi's call centre at 1-866-622-2232.

According to customer research, the average Canadian has a monthly credit
