The Lora Bay Corporation and Intrawest ULC announce the transfer of operations at The Raven Golf Club at Lora Bay

VANCOUVER, and THORNBURY, ON, June 29 /CNW/ - Intrawest ULC, a world
leader in experiential destination resorts, and The Lora Bay Corporation today
announced an agreement to transfer the operations of The Raven Golf Club at
Lora Bay(TM) in Thornbury, Ontario from Intrawest to The Lora Bay Corporation.
In 2002, Intrawest and The Lora Bay Corporation entered into an agreement
to develop the golf course under the Raven brand. The Raven Golf Club at Lora
Bay opened on July 1, 2006 and includes 7,200 championship yards of lush
fairways, surrounded by deer yards, apple orchards and meandering trails along
the scenic shoreline of Georgian Bay.
The 18-hole course was co-designed by PGA Tour Professional and 2006
Ryder Cup Team Captain Tom Lehman and Canadian golf course architect Tom
McBroom. The Raven at Lora Bay was named to Travel & Leisure Magazine's list
of the Best New Golf Courses in 2006 and the course recently played host to
the 2007 TELUS World Skins Game.
"We are extremely pleased that this unique golf property will continue to
bear the Raven(TM) brand, as the transfer of operations includes an agreement
for The Lora Bay Corporation to license the brand from Intrawest for uses
specific to this property for up to four years," said Don Shindle, regional
vice president for Intrawest Hospitality Management. "This transfer of
operations is a result of Intrawest's previously announced decision to exit
certain golf properties not associated with our network of experiential
destination resorts."
