The Duke Pubs' Toast to St. George!

TORONTO, April 6 /CNW/ - From Monday, April 6 to Sunday, April 26 the
Duke Pubs are honouring the patron saint of England, St. George, with a
Pop in to one of our six pubs to celebrate St. George with our English
menu specials and a refreshing pint. Fancy some Bubble and Squeak with Fried
Eggs and a Newcastle Brown Ale? Or maybe you'll tuck in to our Cheddar and Ale
Rarebit Mac and Cheese with Crispy Bacon and a Bulmers Original Cider, served
on ice.
The Duke Pubs are proud to support the St. George's Society of Toronto
commemorating its 175th anniversary this year. Dedicated to promoting Good
Fun, Good Fellowship and Good Works, Toronto's oldest charity was formed in a
restaurant in 1834. Even more reason to celebrate is Toronto's 175th
anniversary and Mayor David Miller has declared April 20 to 26 St. George's
Society of Toronto Week!
St. George's Day is April 23rd and legend has it that St. George slew a
dragon and saved a princess and a village. So come join the fun, try a little
taste of England and raise a glass to St. George. After all, anyone who's
slain a dragon deserves a toast!
