The Crown Attorneys' Association of Quebec denounces the violations of the most fundamental rules of justice and demands the repatriation of Omar Khadr to Canada

MONTREAL, Jan. 23 /CNW/ - The Association of Criminal and Penal
Prosecutors of Quebec is a professional association representing some 430
Crown Attorneys in Quebec. The role of crown prosecutors is to protect the
public and to guarantee the supremacy of the superior interests of justice.
We hereby denounce the denial of the most fundamental rules of justice
and law to Omar Khadr, the only Canadian citizen detained at the American
prison of Guantanamo Bay. In our firm belief in respecting the rule of law we
demand the repatriation of Omar Khadr to Canada in order that he may be
granted a fair trial before an independent tribunal.
