The Crossing Company Inc. announces acquisitions and management changes

    CALGARY, Dec. 11 /CNW/ - The Crossing Company Inc., the largest provider
of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) Services in Canada, has completed two
complementary acquisitions.
    The Company closed the acquisition of the assets of Hemsing HDD in a cash
transaction. These assets included a newly designed American Augers DD 625
along with buildings and ancillary equipment for the construction of a second
HDD Rig.
    The Company also acquired the shares of Rampro Casing and Crossing Ltd.
located in Fort St. John, BC an area of ongoing pipeline and facilities
expansion. Rampro was acquired for a combination of cash and shares. Mr. Shawn
Gaunt will remain the leader of Rampro based in Fort St. John. Mr. Gaunt will
report to Mr. Ryan J. MacLean, President of The Crossing Company and of Rampro
Casing and Crossing.
    Two key new management members have joined the Crossing and Rampro teams.
Mr Russell Atwell, Senior Project Manager - The Crossing Company, and Mr.
Patrick O'Donoghue, Manager Business Development - Rampro. Both of these
individuals are well recognized within the industry and are experienced in
both field and management operations.
    With these acquisitions comes a management restructuring and the expanded
team will now include:

    Mr J. Lindsay Hood - Chairman - The Crossing Company & Rampro Casing and
    Mr. Ryan MacLean - President - The Crossing Company & Rampro Casing and
    Mr. Trevor Briscoe - Vice President, Operations
    Mr. Paul Martens - Vice President, Finance
    Mr. Manley Osbak - Vice President, Technical Services
    Mr. Christopher Gidyk - Manager, Purchasing and Maintenance
    Mr. Jeremy Shannon - Manager, Health, Safety and Environment
    Mr. Ryan Bowhay - Manager, Business Development
    Mr. Russell Atwell - Senior Project Manager
    Mr. Shaun Gaunt - Vice President & General Manager, Rampro
    Mr. Patrick O'Donoghue - Manager, Business Development, Rampro

    The Crossing Company and Rampro will now operate 10 HDD rigs, 1 HDD Exit
Side Safety Units (with a second newer-generation HDD Exit Side Safety Unit
slated for delivery in January 2008), 3 auger boring machines, 4 pneumatic
hammers, and 2 thrust punch or "road punch" units.
