TORONTO, Sept. 12 /CNW/ - The Caldwell Partners International Inc. (TSX:
CWL.A), Canada's first and only truly national human capital services firm,
today announced the appointment of John N. Wallace as Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Wallace succeeds the company's founder, C. Douglas Caldwell, in that role.
Mr. Caldwell will continue as the Chairman of the Board of The Caldwell
"John Wallace joined The Caldwell Partners in February this year as
President and Chief Operating Officer and has proven to be a valuable addition
to, and leader of our team, which comprises many of the top people in the
Canadian executive search field," said Mr. Caldwell, announcing the
appointment. "We were very pleased earlier this year to have been able to
recruit John, given the impressive track record of leadership and success in
our industry that he has demonstrated."

Prior to joining The Caldwell Partners, Mr. Wallace was President and
Chief Executive Officer of Highland Partners, the executive search division of
Hudson Highland Group, Inc., the world's largest combined executive search,
specialty staffing, and related consulting services firm. Like The Caldwell
Partners, Highland Partners focused, in particular, on recruiting for "C"
level positions (including CEO, CFO, COO, CIO) and Board of Directors
positions. His achievements included nearly doubling average search fees as
well as the annual billings per partner. Mr. Wallace left Highland Partners
following its acquisition.
Mr. Wallace began his career in the executive search industry when in
1996 he joined Illsley Bourbonnais as President and Managing Partner. During
his four years there, he nearly tripled its annual revenues prior to its
acquisition by TMP Worldwide Inc. Mr. Wallace remained with TMP Worldwide as
Chief Operating Officer, N.A. Executive Search. Before entering the executive
search business, Mr. Wallace held senior marketing management positions in the
telecommunications industry, including as Vice-President, Marketing and
Planning for Nortel Communications Systems and Vice-President, Marketing and
Information Services for Telecommunications Terminal Systems, as well as
various roles at Bell Canada. Mr. Wallace holds a B.S. (Honours) from the
University of Waterloo.
