MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., June 23 /CNW/ -- The American Society of
Transplantation (AST) is pleased to announce the members of the 2008-2009
board of directors. The officers were introduced at the American Transplant
Congress, which was held in Toronto, Canada, in May.
The officers are: president, Barbara T. Murphy, M.D., Mount Sinai School
of Medicine; president-elect, Joren C. Madsen, M.D., D.Phil., Massachusetts
General Hospital; secretary-treasurer, Maryl R. Johnson, M.D., University of
Wisconsin-Madison; and immediate past president, Flavio Vincenti, M.D.,
University of California, San Francisco.
Councilors-at-large are: Robert L. Fairchild, Ph.D., Cleveland Clinic
Foundation; Robert G. Gaston, M.D., University of Alabama at Birmingham; David
M. Rothstein, M.D., Yale Medical School; Lori J. West, M.D., D.Phil.,
University of Alberta; Michael Green, M.D., M.P.H., University of Pittsburgh
School of Medicine; Michelle A. Josephson, M.D., University of Chicago; Allan
