The road to a better future

For a fourth consecutive year, the MIAS, in collaboration with Natural
Resources Canada, is proud to present the segment On Route to a Greener
Future, which includes two distinct features: the Green Zone and the 2008
ecoENERGY award winning vehicles.
Located in the heart of the Green Zone, five major automobile
manufacturers (Ford, GM, Honda, Nissan and Toyota) will be on hand to display
their ecological cars. Other representatives will also be present in the Green
Zone to provide valuable information about energy alternatives, green
technology and tips about protecting the environment, as part of a concerted
effort to reconcile the automobile with the environment
But that's not all... this year; the Green Zone will be host to a Grand
Canadian Premier, when it presents the Tesla Roadster; a high performance
electric vehicle that has already collected a multitude of awards.
Manufactured in California, this shockingly beautiful, 100% electric
automobile is truly an amazing, one-of-a-kind feat of engineering. Get ready
to be stunned, because this is one truly electrifying automobile!
The second feature of the Show's On Route to a Greener Future segment
will include the presentation of the 2008 ecoENERGY award winners, the most
fuel-efficient vehicles by category, based on EnerGuide's fuel consumption
ratings. EnerGuide is an annual publication released by Natural Resources
Canada, which examines the fuel consumption of vehicles on the market.
