The 2008 MMVAs Was An Electrifying Night For Fans

    - Hedley Keeps Their Pants On and Takes Home Four Awards -

    TORONTO, June 16 /CNW/ - The most-buzzed-about music, the
most-droolworthy celebs, and the wildest fans all came together at the 19th
Annual MuchMusic Video Awards last night in Toronto. MuchMusic served up an
endless evening of glitz, glamour, thunder and lightening, and thrilling
musical performances where fans raised the decibel level to new ear-deafening
heights. The newly reunited New Kids On The Block proved they can still make
the girls swoon, while Chace Crawford made the crowd melt, and the unlikely
combination of Flo Rida and Simple Plan opened the show with a bang. The kings
of the evening, Hedley took home four awards and international showstopper
Rihanna left with two. The full winners list is below.
Thousands of MuchMusic fans weathered the storm at Queen and John to get
up close and personal with the hottest acts today. During a torrential
downpour, the fans waited and screamed for their favourite Canadian and
international artists who did not disappoint. In another MMVAs first, it
rained on the stages, but the fans were determined to have the show go on.
