MONTREAL, March 27 /CNW Telbec/ - Tembec confirms that a fire broke out
on Wednesday night around 6:20 pm in paper machine #1 at its Pine Falls
facility in Manitoba. Employees responded to the situation as per the
Emergency response procedure in place at the mill. There were no major
injuries as a result of the fire. Twelve employees were treated, mainly as a
precaution, for smoke inhalation at the regional health services. All have

joint actions resulted in limited damages to machine #1. Paper machine #2 was
unaffected by the fire and the mill is expected to resume full production in a
few days. Tembec will take all necessary measures so that the regular supply

the site and permitted the resumption of production".
