productivity through real-time location monitoring of workers. TELUS Track and
Dispatch gives head-office the ability to determine the closest mobile worker

"TELUS Track and Dispatch has truly reshaped our business," says Cameron
Reid, president, "We have been able to cut down on communication
with our drivers and can now make real-time decisions, saving us a significant
amount of time, which is a precious commodity in our business."

    A leg-up on organizational challenges

In its continued effort to 'give where we live' and support Canadian
charities, TELUS has donated both wireless devices and services, including two
GPS solutions, to the Run the Dream organization in order to help Jonathan
Howard complete his solo coast-to-coast Canadian run raising money and
awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Using TELUS Navigator, the Run the Dream team is able to set Jonathan's
route ahead of time, which has saved them from having to pour over old maps to
determine the best way forward. They then use TELUS Resource Tracker to
monitor Jonathan's position and progress in real-time, and are even able to
offer website visitors the chance to pin-point Jonathan's exact location.
"With the TELUS GPS solutions, we now have the ability to track
Jonathan's whereabouts as he runs across Canada in his mission to raise money
and awareness for ASD - this means his supporters know the exact location to
come out and meet Jonathan on his run to cheer him along, which has been
amazing for his confidence and helping keep him motivated," said Bill
Robertson, chairman, Run the Dream.
Jim Senko, TELUS vice-president of Mobility Solutions said, "TELUS GPS
solutions are ideal for any business with mobile workers, vehicles and assets
which need to be tracked. With our cutting edge solutions, organizations can
now equip their teams with GPS-enabled handsets and smartphones and gain clear
and precise visibility into their day-to-day business operations.
Both Resource Tracker and Track and Dispatch are now available on PCS
BlackBerry and Windows Mobile smartphones. According to IDC, GPS solutions are
invaluable for businesses and are quickly growing in demand among Canadians.
"Fast becoming an important mobile technology in the business-to-business
market, our research shows that the attraction and adoption of GPS solutions
will rise dramatically, especially among businesses with mobile workers and
assets," says Tony Olvet, vice-president Communications & Segments Research,
IDC Canada.
