Teliphone Navigata-Westel Communication Inc. Announces Completion of Restructuring Plan and the Appointment of 3 New Executives

VANCOUVER, Aug. 4, 2014 /CNW/ - Vancouver-based Teliphone Navigata-Westel Communication Inc. (TNW)is pleased to announce the successful completion of its 18 month restructuring process and the appointment of a new Executive Management Team.

With his mandate to stabilize, restructure and revitalize the Company complete, Mr. Benoit Laliberte, TNW's CEO has stepped down from this position and the Company has appointed a new executive team who will lead it into its next phase of growth. Mr. Laliberte, had been the CEO since Teliphone Corp acquired the key assets of Navigata Communications 2009 Inc. in December 2012 to form TNW. He was the driving force in the company's turnaround, taking it from 4 million to over 50 million dollars annualized revenue and into profitability and will now pursue other telecommunications opportunities.

Sandeep Panesar, the company's former Chief Operating Officer will now take on the role of CEO. Mr. Panesar who joined Teliphone in 2011 after many years in telecommunications, has been instrumental in refining operational procedures and a human resource team which have been key in the company's turnaround. He will build on the growth established by Mr. Laliberte and continue to implement state-of-the-art management in the Company.

Glen Gregory has been appointed Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gregory has 25 years experience with TNW having most recently acted as Senior Vice President, Engineering. Over this time he developed the company's national network and data centres and has both the skills and extensive corporate memory to take on the role of COO.

Owen Gilbert has been appointed TNW's Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Gilbert is a veteran of the telecom industry with over 20 years experience in sales and marketing, 15 of which with TNW. He has an intimate knowledge of the industry and has well established credibility which will be a key factor in implementing the company's business plan over the next few years.

Outgoing CEO, Benoit Laliberte stated, "I have been very pleased with what has been accomplished over the last year and a half. Together with our staff we have transformed TNW into one of the largest independent facilities-based CLEC in Canada and my mission is complete. I am very confident that that the new management will guide the company to significant growth in the near future."
