Teknika HBA Prepares the Transition within the Energy Vice-Presidency

    MONTREAL, Nov. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Teknika HBA's top management announces
the recent appointment of Mr. Jean Lavigne to the post of assistant
vice-president within the Energy Division. As such, Mr. Lavigne will assist
Mr. Charles Ghayad, actual vice-president, with the management of operations
and business development. Employed by the firm since 1984, Mr. Lavigne is a
senior electrical engineer and actual director of the Electrical Power
Transmission and Distribution Department. "Jean is known as much for his wide
technical expertise as for his human qualities, I know he will sustain the
growth of our Energy team and pursue the development of new markets to which
he has already contributed so significantly", has declared Mr. Wilfrid Morin,
Teknika HBA's president and chief executive officer.
    Once this transition phase is completed, in January 2008, Mr. Lavigne
will assume the functions occupied by Mr. Charles Ghayad for the last
17 years. Mr. Ghayad cumulates over 40 years of experience in energy
production projects of all magnitude. In Québec, he has been involved in the
construction of large hydroelectric power plants as well as in the
rehabilitation of small, medium and large power plants. Furthermore, he has
participated in the execution of electrical power transmission and
distribution projects in several countries, such as Cameron, Saudi Arabia,
Nigeria and the United States. Strong from this experience, Mr. Charles Ghayad
will maintain his contribution within our firm, and this, as a senior
