MONTREAL, Oct. 25 /CNW Telbec/ - More resistant roofs while being more
economic, is it possible? Yes, thanks to a new device simulating winds and
gusts of wind in a dynamic manner, that is, taking into account wind
variations. Indeed, Les Laboratoires Shermont inc., leaders notably renowned
in roof analysis and testing, have now obtained the exclusive use of this
patented device, unique in the world.
At the moment, simulation methods available on the market only simulate
winds and gusts of wind in a static manner while, in reality, wind presents a
varying snatch force. The device thus reproduces a dynamic wind effect,
allowing the construction of more economic roofs, in cases of overestimate,
and more resistant roofs, in other cases.
The dynamic evaluation device for roofing systems is currently installed
on a Drummondville industrial building. Firms wishing to conduct simulations
on their roofing systems can communicate with Mr. Paul Hébert, eng., P.Eng.,
M.A.Sc., Director of Les Laboratoires Shermont inc.'s Montréal office at
514 521-4290 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
