TORONTO, Sept. 30, 2011 /CNW/ - Yesterday, three Ontario teachers
received the OTIP Teaching Award for excellence at Enoch Turner School
The Ontario Teachers Insurance Plan (OTIP) sponsors these awards which
are administered by the Ontario Teachers' Federation (OTF). This is the
eighth year for the awards.
This year, the following teachers were recognized:
Brian Robertson, Land O' Lakes Public School, Mountain Grove - Elementary Teacher Category
Alison Mann, Parkdale Collegiate Institute, Toronto - Secondary Teacher Category
Anna Farago, Weston Collegiate, Toronto - Beginning Teacher Category
"We believe that good teaching provides young people with the
intellectual resources to count on as they set out to face life's
challenges," stated Julie Millard, Director of Marketing and
Communications at OTIP who, along with Roxanne Chartrand, Director of
Human Resources from OTIP, presented the award in the secondary
