Tantra Fitness Announces 'Miss Pole Dance Canada' Fitness Competition

    Local celebrities to judge

VANCOUVER, March 12 /CNW/ - Exotic dancer turned entrepreneur, Tammy
Morris, announced today the first Canadian 'Miss Pole Dance Competition' will
be held in Vancouver next month.
Morris decided to secure the Canadian franchise license after placing
first runner up in the Miss Pole Dance World Competition 2006 in Amsterdam.
Morris's Tantra Fitness, a Vancouver Pole Dancing fitness studio, will
host the event at The Caprice Night Club on March 29, 2007. "The competition
will legitimize pole dancing as a form of fitness and performance," Morris
says. Contestants will remain fully clothed at all times and suggestive
touching is not permitted.
"This competition is about fitness, flexibility, strength and
coordination," Morris stated. "Pole dancing students should be able to
showcase their skills in a non-sexual environment. I loved performing, and the
level of fitness I attained as a dancer, but not the nudity."
Contest judges include professional bodybuilder Yolanda Hughes, local
celebrity Brandy Soriander owner of Brandi's showroom, and Z95.3 FM's Sarah
In addition, Miss Pole Dance World Reiko Suemune will be flying in from
Japan to perform.
