Now accepting applicants for the new facility
ORILLIA, ON, Aug. 28 /CNW/ - TABIS, Today's Acquired Brain Injury center
offers measurable hope for many Ontario families & is now accepting
applicants. A Canadian Business Professional has lead the way managing the
many in need of Acquired Brain Injury therapy, rehabilitation & daily living
assistance. The opening of this long awaited 24/7 therapy & care center for
those with an Acquired Brain Injury is right here in beautiful & medically
progressive Central Ontario. TABIS offers independent & semi-independent
integrational accommodations & a variety of day programs including cognitive,
physical, emotional, neurological & behavioural management. Assistance through
day programs & family counselling is available at TABIS for those dealing &
living with the many challenges resulting from an Acquired Brain Injury.
Our Brain is our lifeline, which manages over 60,000 thoughts everyday.
What happens when thoughts & feelings no longer seem like they are your own or
are no longer familiar responses from a loved one. How fortunate we are to not
be one of the 44 individuals each day in Ontario who have suffered a trauma
from a motor vehicle accident or stroke. Yearly, some 50,000 Canadians sustain
Brain injuries with very limited to no options for 24/7 care.
The initial 8 ABI individuals accepted into the TABIS care center will be
eligible to receive direct benefits from funds raised through TABIS' launch
event fall 2008. Location & details will be posted soon on the TABIS website.
This event will also support a local hospital & the Ontario Brain Injury
Association through division of the funds raised. Funds will be managed by a
reputable financial institution. Attending the event will be Government
Officials, Medical Professionals, as well as, Insurance & Legal
Representatives. A well known guest speaker will lead the experiences of
individuals who have been & are living with real life results & challenges
from an ABI.
