Daniel Crenna tagged as 'exceptional technology community leader'
HALIFAX, Jan. 21 /CNW/ - T4G Limited, a leading national provider of
project-based technology services, is delighted to announce that one of its
developers has been named a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for his
expertise with ASP.NET web technologies, including Silverlight, a programmable
web browser plug-in that enables features such as animation, vector graphics
and audio-video playback for rich Internet applications.
Dubbed "the Flash killer", Silverlight is Microsoft's hottest new
technology for the next generation of Internet development.
"At T4G, we have recognized for some time the deep IT talent pool in
Atlantic Canada," said President Geoff Flood. "And the MVP award for Daniel is
yet another affirmation of that belief. We are thrilled to have so many
talented people like Daniel on our team."
In 2008, T4G opened offices in Moncton and Fredericton to augment the
growing Atlantic Canada operations in Saint John and Halifax. Headquartered in
Toronto, T4G also has offices in Vancouver.
"I am honoured to be recognized; especially since I received it for
sharing information about technologies I work with and enjoy learning more
about day after day," said Daniel Crenna.
The Microsoft MVP Award recognizes exceptional technical community
leaders worldwide who actively share their expertise with technical
communities both online and offline.
More than 100 million people worldwide participate in technical
communities and there is a select group of Microsoft MVPs numbering less than
5,000 around the world.
Technical communities foster the free and objective exchange of knowledge
that benefits developers and users alike. Microsoft MVPs are independent,
third-party individuals who do not work for Microsoft or speak on Microsoft's
The annual MVP Global Summit is March 1-4 in Seattle and Redmond,
Washington, and Mr. Crenna plans to attend as the T4G representative.
