Synex International Inc. update on Cypress Creek Hydro Project

    VANCOUVER, Oct. 22 /CNW/ - Synex International Inc. announces that its
wholly owned subsidiary, Synex Energy Resources Ltd., has entered into a loan
agreement with the Canadian Western Bank. The amount to be advanced under the
loan is $3,529,945 and the use of funds is for the completion of construction
of the 2.8 MW Cypress Creek Hydro Project (the "Project"). The first advance
under the loan agreement is anticipated to occur in November 2007. The Project
is located near the existing 3.8 MW Mears Creek plant on Vancouver Island,
British Columbia.
    Construction of the Project is about 60% complete. Work is continuing on
each of the intake, penstock and powerhouse substructure. The scheduled
completion date is during March 2008, which is about the time that BC Hydro is
expected to make available its Standing Offer Call for proposals for
electricity purchase agreements. The Company intends to submit a proposal
promptly after the Standing Offer is available.

    Synex International Inc. is a public company listed on the TSX with
businesses that cover the development, ownership and operation of electrical
generation facilities and the provision of consulting engineering services in
water resources, particularly hydroelectric facilities.
