FORT MCMURRAY, AB, March 21 /CNW/ - Suncor Energy Inc. presented its
President's Operational Excellence Awards to employees and contractors who
showed exceptional health, safety and environmental leadership in 2006. The
awards were presented last night at the Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre in

"This year's finalists represent the spirit of operational excellence at
Suncor," said Rick George, Suncor's president and chief executive officer.
"They know how to work safely and be responsible to our environment while also
achieving strong business results."
The mining team at Suncor's oil sands operation and the employees of

work ahead of schedule, under budget and with no injuries or
       environmental contraventions.
