Sun-Rype names new CEO

    KELOWNA, BC, Sept. 18 /CNW/ - Merv Geen, Chairman of the Board of
Directors of Sun-Rype Products Ltd., is pleased to announce the appointment of
David Lynn as the new President & Chief Executive Officer for the Company,
effective October 6, 2008. This appointment completes the search process that
started in May of this year upon the retirement of the previous President &
CEO, Eric Sorensen.

contribution he will make to Sun-Rype's future success," says Geen. "He brings
over 20 years of food industry experience, most recently as Senior Vice
President of Marketing for Saputo Dairy Products Canada, the largest dairy
business in Canada. David will lead Sun-Rype as we focus on improving
profitability and return on investment while implementing the Company's long
term vision for growth."
    The Board of Directors thanks Sun-Rype's Vice President of Operations,
Dave McAnerney, for his stewardship as interim President & CEO during the
search period. Mr. McAnerney will continue in his role of Vice President of
Operations following Mr. Lynn's appointment.
